The 1st Arab Forum for Sports Cartoon Invites
Cartoonists Worldwide to Participate

“Sport Brings Us Together, Art Unites Us” — A Global Arab Platform Celebrating Sport and the Creative Power of Cartoon Art
Under the slogan “Sport Brings Us Together, Art Unites Us,” the 1st Arab Forum for Sports Cartoon invites cartoonists from around the world to take part in a unique artistic and sporting event that brings creativity, sport and human dialogue together through the language of cartoon art.
The forum is open to all cartoonists worldwide, offering them the opportunity to present works inspired by Egyptian, Arab and international sports and to explore sport as a universal language that transcends borders and brings people and cultures together.
Four Themes for Creative Expression
The forum features four main themes. The first celebrates the Egyptian and Moroccan national teams, as well as Arab and international sports. The second focuses on sports cartoon drawings, while the third introduces a visionary theme titled “Sport After 100 Years,” inviting artists to imagine the future of Arab sports a century from now through their cartoons.
The fourth theme opens the door to sports and cartoon enthusiasts who wish to contribute from their own old sports archives, including cartoons, posters and sports magazine covers, helping preserve and document the shared history of sport and cartoon art for future generations.
Up to Three Works per Artist
Each artist may submit up to three works, either in color or black and white. Both hand-drawn and digital artwork are accepted, while the forum strictly prohibits the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in producing the submitted works.
Works must be submitted in JPG format, at a resolution of at least 300 DPI, with a minimum size of A3.
Each submission must include the artist’s name, country, title of the work, social media link, mobile phone number, a brief biography and a personal photograph. This information will facilitate communication with participating artists and support the inclusion of artists in the Arab Encyclopedia of Cartoonists, while their works will also be documented and preserved in the Cartoon Bank, a specialized archival project dedicated to cartoon art.
The organizing committee reserves the right to use submitted works for promotional materials and posters related to the forum exhibition.
More Than an Exhibition
The forum aims to provide participants with a comprehensive cultural and artistic experience through a PDF catalogue featuring participants and their works, an online exhibition, and electronic certificates of recognition for participants from outside Egypt.
The program will also include seminars on sports cartoon art, live drawing workshops, and a documentary film documenting the forum’s activities.
The forum is an open invitation to every artist who sees cartoon art as a powerful way to express a passion for sport, as well as to everyone who owns a valuable sports archive and wishes to contribute to preserving the memory of sport and cartoon art.
Do not miss the opportunity to become part of this first Arab experience and leave your mark on
the history of sports cartoon art.
Deadline
